Iowa star Caitlin Clark, the all-time leading scorer in women’s college basketball, announced Thursday that she will enter the 2024 WNBA Draft. The 22-year-old senior has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining due to COVID-19 modifications, but she elected to forgo her fifth year at Iowa.

“While this season is far from over and we have a lot more goals to achieve, it will be my last one at Iowa,” Clark wrote on Instagram. “I am excited to be entering the 2024 WNBA Draft.”

Almost as excited are the Fever and basketball fans in Indiana.

The Fever, after finishing 13-27 last season and a combined 18-58 over the last two seasons, won the WNBA Draft Lottery held on Dec. 10. Indiana was one of only four teams eligible for the lottery after missing the playoffs, joining the Los Angeles Sparks, Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm.

It was the second straight season that the Fever won the lottery, using the top pick last year to select Aliyah Boston, who went on to be named Rookie of the Year.

They now have the option of adding a generational talent. Clark is averaging 32.2 points, 8.7 assists and 7.4 rebounds per game this season while leading Iowa to a 25-4 record.

Caitlin Clark to enter 2024 WNBA Draft, forgoing last year of eligibility at Iowa https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-entering-2024-wnba-draft/5182872/ 5182872 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2023/05/230330-caitlin-clark-getty.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,169 Caitlin Clark is entering the 2024 WNBA Draft.

The Iowa women’s basketball star announced on Thursday that she has chosen to forgo her final year of collegiate eligibility to start her professional career.

“While this season is far from over and we have a lot more goals to achieve, it will be my last one at Iowa,” Clark wrote on Instagram. “I am excited to be entering the 2024 WNBA Draft.”

Clark, 22, is a senior, however, she earned a fifth year of NCAA eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is impossible to fully express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me during my time at Iowa — my teammates, who made the last four years the best; my coaches, trainers, and staff who always let me be me; Hawkeye fans who filled Carver every night; and everyone who came out to support us across the country, especially the young kids,” Clark added.

“Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without my family and friends who have been by my side through it all. Because of all of you, my dreams came true.

Earlier this month, Clark set the NCAA women’s basketball scoring record with 3,527 career points. With one more game left for Iowa’s regular season, Clark is just 18 points away from securing the men’s NCAA scoring record, as well, surpassing basketball legend Pete Maravich.

The Big Ten Tournament is set to commence on March 6 with March Madness soon after.

Caitlin Clark surpasses Lynette Woodard's major women's college scoring record https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-surpasses-lynette-woodards-major-womens-college-scoring-record/5180248/ 5180248 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/USATSI_22649304-e1709183892554.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,200 Caitlin Clark has broken Lynette Woodard’s major college scoring record with 3,650 career points, scoring 33 points for sixth-ranked Iowa in a 108-60 win at Minnesota on Wednesday.

HOW SHE DID IT

Clark, last year’s AP player of the year, made eight 3-pointers against the Gophers to set the NCAA women’s single-season record (156). She also had 12 assists and 10 rebounds in 29 minutes to post her 17th career triple-double and second in as many games. The Hawkeyes topped the 100-point mark for the 10th time this season.

Clark is now 18 points away from passing LSU’s Pete Maravich (3,667 points) for the all-time NCAA Division I record for men or women.

UP NEXT

No. 6 Iowa hosts No. 2 Ohio State on Sunday afternoon, the teams’ second meeting of the season. Clark had 45 points on 12-for-25 shooting in a 100-92 overtime loss to the Buckeyes on Jan. 21, when fans rushed the court in celebration and one of them accidentally knocked her over.

Ohio State has clinched the Big Ten regular season championship. Iowa will get the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament next week by beating the Buckeyes.

HOW TO WATCH

Tipoff is 1 p.m. Eastern in Iowa City. The game will be televised nationally on Fox.

Sheryl Swoopes says she reached out to Caitlin Clark over controversial comments https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/sheryl-swoopes-caitlin-clark-controversial-comments/5154640/ 5154640 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/image-73-1.png?fit=300,169&quality=85&strip=all Basketball Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes revealed that she reached out to Caitlin Clark in the wake of her recent controversial comments about the Iowa star.

Swoopes, who was on the call for Sunday’s Baylor-Texas Tech game, said on the broadcast that she and Clark shared “a really good conversation.”

“A couple of weeks ago, I reached out to (LSU forward Angel Reese) and had a really good conversation with Angel over the phone and sent a message to Caitlin. She responded. She and I went back and forth,” Swoopes said on the broadcast, via The Athletic. “I won’t share what she said, I’ll leave that to her if she wants to share. But I will say, what I said to her was, ‘I made a mistake in saying it was your fifth year when it is your fourth.’

“I have nothing but respect for what she has done for the game. If she wants to share what her response was and how that conversation went, I’ll leave that to her. But it was a really good conversation.”

What did Sheryl Swoopes say about Caitlin Clark?

As Clark was closing in on Kelsey Plum’s NCAA women’s all-time scoring record, Swoopes minimized the imminent accomplishment by incorrectly stating that Clark played an extra season compared to Plum.

Swoopes, who’s a former three-time WNBA MVP and four-time WNBA champion, made the comments during a Jan. 29 appearance on ex-NBA player Gilbert Arenas’ “Gil’s Arena” show.

“If Kelsey Plum set that record in four years, well, Caitlin should’ve broke that record in four years,” Swoopes said. “But because there’s a COVID year, and then there’s another year, you know what I mean? So she’s already had an extra year to break that record. So, is it truly a broken record? I don’t know. I don’t think so. But yeah, that’ll go in the record books. And, I don’t think it should be.”

“Gil’s Arena” host Josiah Johnson later noted that Clark was actually in her fourth season.

Plum set the previous scoring record by racking up 3,527 points in 139 games over four seasons at the University of Washington. And while Clark is eligible to return to Iowa for an extra COVID-19 year next season, she broke Plum’s record as a fourth-year senior in her 126th career game.

That wasn’t the only inaccurate thing Swoopes said about Clark, either. While explaining why Clark and LSU star Angel Reese won’t dominate in the WNBA from Day 1, Swoopes said Clark “probably takes about 40 shots a game.” Clark, however, is averaging 22.7 shots per game this season.

Swoopes did go on to say she believes Clark and Reese will eventually become “helluva WNBA players” and that they will help grow the league’s popularity. But that didn’t stop her comments from creating a stir in the basketball world.

After receiving some backlash, Swoopes took to Instagram on Jan. 31 and posted the following message: “First off, I was asked for MY opinion. Not asking anyone to agree or disagree. Second, NEVER hatin’ on ANYBODY. Wayyyyy too blessed for that! Third, I wish NOTHING but the best for AR and CC! Yall be blessed! Yall funny.”

At Iowa’s first home game following Swoopes’ comments, fans were spotted wearing “Don’t be a Sheryl” shirts.

Reese came to Swoopes’ defense on Monday, posting a photo of herself wearing a “Be a Sheryl” sweatshirt alongside the Hall of Famer.

Clark and No. 4 Iowa are set to return to action against No. 14 Indiana on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, with the Big Ten showdown airing on Peacock. Clark is 99 points away from Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA scoring record for men’s and women’s of 3,667.

Caitlin Clark has the record. Where will she be playing in March Madness? https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-iowa-ncaa-tournament-seeding-predictions/5143273/ 5143273 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/GettyImages-2006243819.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,206 Caitlin Clark is racking in all of the individual accolades with the Iowa women’s basketball team. But where does her team stand as we get closer to March Madness?

Clark led the Hawkeyes (23-3) to a victory on Thursday night when the star guard officially set the record for most points scored all-time in NCAA women’s basketball.

Now Iowa has four games left in the regular season and Clark will set her sights on leading the team to its first-ever NCAA title. The Hawkeyes had a nice taste of success after reaching the final in 2023 but fell short to LSU.

So while the season wraps up, let’s take a look ahead at where Iowa will fall in the March Madness bracket and what’s in store for Clark in the near future:

What is Iowa seeded in March Madness?

While the season is not over, the No. 5 Hawkeyes will likely have a high seeing in the NCAA Tournament.

If the season ended today, Iowa would earn a No. 2 seed along with NC State, UCLA and Texas, according to the NCAA. The No. 1 seeds would be South Carolina, Stanford, Ohio State, and Colorado.

Where will Caitlin Clark be playing in March Madness?

With the No. 2 seed, Clark and the Hawkeyes would host the first two rounds between March 20 and March 24.

Regional play will take place in Albany, N.Y. (MVP Arena) and Portland, Ore. (Moda Center) between March 29 and April 1. Each site will host two regional semifinal games and a regional championship game.

The Final Four will take place on April 5 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland at 7:30 and 9 p.m ET. The championship game will be held at the same location on April 7 at 3 p.m. ET.

If you cannot attend the games in person, the Final Four games will be streamed on ESPN while the final will be on ABC.

When is the NCAA women’s basketball Selection Sunday?

Selection Sunday will be Sunday, March 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.

How to watch Caitlin Clark play in March Madness:

If you want to attend Clark’s postseason games in person, you might have to travel a bit. The first two games she plays would likely be in Iowa while the next few would be in Albany or Portland, if the team continues to win

Clark would play the Final Four and championship in Cleveland.

Is Caitlin Clark going to play in the WNBA?

Clark has been the projected first pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft for a while now.

The Indiana Fever were the lucky winners of the WNBA Draft Lottery back in December and earned the No. 1 overall pick for the second year in a row. Last year, the Fever selected former South Carolina star Aliyah Boston at No. 1.

As of October 2023, Clark mentioned she hadn’t decided if she was going to return for a fifth collegiate season or begin her professional journey. However, she did state that she would treat the 2023-24 season “like this is my last year.”

“I’m going to go based off of my gut,” Clark said. “At the end of the day, that’s the biggest thing that I think I should trust. I’m going to know when I need to know if I want to stay or if I want to go.”

Caitlin Clark leaves basketball world in awe with 49 points on historic night https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/iowa-caitlin-clark-career-game-ncaa-scoring-record/5141857/ 5141857 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/USATSI_22532247_168392271_lowres-e1708049090672.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,200 What a night for Caitlin Clark.

The Iowa Hawkeyes star entered Thursday’s home matchup against the Michigan Wolverines needing eight points to surpass Kelsey Plum as the all-time scoring leader in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history.

She had 23 by the end of the first quarter.

Clark wasted no time making history, knocking down her first three shots for Iowa’s first eight points of the contest. Her record-breaking bucket came on a pull-up 3-pointer from the logo just over two minutes into the game, sending the Carver-Hawkeye Arena crowd in Iowa City into a frenzy.

Clark didn’t slow down from there, either.

The senior guard, who entered leading the nation at 32.1 points per game, outscored the entire Michigan team (22 points) in the first quarter with 23 points, shooting 5-for-7 from deep and 8-for-10 overall. She nearly had a 30-point double-double by halftime with 28 points and eight assists.

Clark tied her career high of 46 points, which she set against Michigan in February 2022, on a pair of free throws with under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Then, on Iowa’s next possession, she drilled a 3-pointer to set a new career best and Iowa program record of 49 points.

Clark finished with 49 points, 13 assists and five rebounds to power No. 4 Iowa to a 106-89 win. She shot 16-for 31 from the field, 9-for-18 from 3 and 8-for-8 at the free throw line. Her nine made 3-pointers also tied a career high.

Now sitting at 3,569 career points, Clark is less than 100 points away from Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA scoring record for men’s and women’s of 3,667. Iowa still has four regular-season games remaining, which puts her on pace to break Maravich’s record before the Big Ten Tournament even gets underway.

From Angel Reese to Billie Jean King and more, here were some of the top reactions to Clark’s historic night:

Caitlin Clark breaks NCAA women's all-time scoring record and racks up career-high 49 points https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-scoring-record-ncaa-womens-basketball/5110468/ 5110468 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/USATSI_22532170-e1708046657442.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,200 Caitlin Clark now stands alone.

The Iowa Hawkeyes star broke the NCAA Division I women’s basketball all-time scoring record in the first quarter of Thursday’s game against Michigan at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.

Clark was just eight points away from breaking the the previous record of 3,527 points, which was held by ex-University of Washington guard and current Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum. Clark made her first three shots to score Iowa’s first eight points against Michigan, capped by a record-breaking pull-up 3-pointer from the logo in transition.

Clark outscored the entire Michigan team (22 points) by herself in the first quarter with a whopping 23 points, shooting 5-for-7 from 3 and 8-for-10 overall. And she went on to make even more history before the night was over.

Clark topped her previous career high of 46 points, which she set against Michigan in February 2022. With a 3-pointer in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Clark achieved a new career best and Iowa program record of 49 points.

She would finish with 49 points, 13 assists and five rebounds to lead No. 4 Iowa to a 106-89 win. She shot 16-for 31 from the field, 9-for-18 from 3 and 8-for-8 at the free throw line. Her nine made 3-pointers also tied a career high.

Clark, a senior, entered Thursday’s action averaging 32.1 points per game — a career-high. She averaged 26.6 points as a freshman, 27.0 points as a sophomore and 27.8 points as a junior.

In her senior season, Clark has taken her game to another level with massive crowds flocking to every Hawkeyes game. She has now has 16 games with at least 30 points and four games with at least 40 points. No. 4 Iowa is 23-3 on the season, poised to make another run at the Final Four after losing to LSU in the national championship game last April.

With 3,569 career points, Clark can now set her sights on Pete Maravich, who owns the NCAA basketball all-time scoring record for men’s and women’s at 3,667 points. At her current pace, Clark should have no trouble surpassing that number before the end of the season. Iowa has four regular-season games remaining before the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament.

Caitlin Clark closing in on NCAA scoring record. Here's how many more points she needs https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-points-ncaa-scoring-record/5123066/ 5123066 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/GettyImages-1990777277-e1707534591502.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,199 Caitlin Clark is closing in on history.

The Iowa Hawkeyes star is on track to break the NCAA Division I women’s basketball scoring record this week.

Clark is chasing down Kelsey Plum’s all-time record. The Las Vegas Aces star racked up 3,527 career points over four seasons at the University of Washington.

But just six-plus seasons after Plum departed for the WNBA as the NCAA scoring leader, her record is on the verge of being topped by the 2023 Naismith Player of the Year.

How many more points does Caitlin Clark need to break NCAA scoring record?

Clark is just eight points away from breaking Plum’s record. The senior guard is currently sitting at 3,520 points.

Clark, who leads the nation in scoring at 32.1 points per game, hasn’t scored fewer than 21 points in a game so far this season.

When is Caitlin Clark’s next game?

That means Clark is very likely to break the all-time scoring record when the No. 4 Hawkeyes host the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday night. The Big Ten matchup from Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa, will air exclusively on Peacock.

Along with Clark’s chase for history, the Hawkeyes will also be looking to bounce back from just their third loss of the season. Iowa was upset on the road by Nebraska Sunday, falling 82-79. Clark tallied 31 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and four steals in the loss.

The No. 4 Hawkeyes (22-3, 11-2) will host the Michigan Wolverines (16-9, 7-6) on Thursday, Feb. 15. Along with Clark’s chase for history, Iowa will also be looking to bounce back after suffering just its third loss of the season — an 82-79 road defeat at the hands of the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday.

Clark put up 31 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and four steals in the loss to Nebraska, where Iowa was outscored 27-10 in the fourth quarter.

Caitlin Clark still 8 points shy of NCAA record as No. 2 Iowa upset by Nebraska https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-still-8-points-shy-of-ncaa-record-as-no-2-iowa-upset-by-nebraska/5126587/ 5126587 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/240211-clark-nebraska-getty.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,169 Jaz Shelley’s 3-pointer with 30 seconds left gave Nebraska its first lead as the Cornhuskers rallied from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat No. 2 Iowa 82-79 on Sunday.

Nebraska and Iowa fans alike came to Pinnacle Bank Arena hoping to see Caitlin Clark set the NCAA women’s career scoring record on a nationally televised celebration of women’s basketball.

What they got instead was a huge performance by the Cornhuskers (16-8, 8-5 Big Ten), whose first win over a Top 25 opponent this season and first over Iowa in 10 tries was punctuated by a student-led court storming.

Clark scored 31 points but missed her final six shots, including one just before the buzzer. She was scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Clark now has 3,520 career points and needs eight more to pass Kelsey Plum’s record of 3,527 for Washington from 2013-17.

Hannah Steulke’s layup with 9:22 left gave Iowa (22-3, 11-2) its biggest lead, at 71-57. The Huskers then scored 23 of the next 31 points.

Shelley, who finished with 23 points including five 3-pointers, gave the Huskers the lead when she launched a 3 from the right corner as the shot clock was winding down.

Clark’s 3-point try nicked off the front of the rim before Shelley made two free throws with 18.1 seconds left. Steulke scored to make it 80-79, but Shelley hit two more shots from the stripe, and Clark and Kate Martin missed 3s at the end.

Iowa had pulled away in the third quarter, making 9 of 12 shots and outscoring the Huskers 30-20.

The crowd was split evenly between Nebraska and Iowa fans. “Let’s Go Hawks!” chants started before tipoff.

Nebraska kept it close in the first half and trailed just 39-35 at the break. Shelley made three 3-pointers, including two straight late in the second quarter to keep Iowa from pulling away.

Clark had 17 points in the first half, but her contributions on defense and as a facilitator were just as important. She ratcheted up her scoring in the third quarter, accounting for 14 points.

BIG PICTURE

Nebraska: The game was the first women’s basketball sellout in program history. A few sellers on the secondary ticket market were asking as much as $2,000 for a seat in the lower bowl. The highest seats on one end of the arena were unfilled, though.

Iowa: The Hawkeyes dropped out of a tie for first place in the Big Ten with Ohio State.

UP NEXT

Nebraska: At Ohio State on Wednesday.

Iowa: Hosts Michigan on Thursday.

Caitlin Clark moves to No. 2 on NCAA scoring list in Iowa's win over Northwestern https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-no-2-ncaa-scoring-list-iowa-northwestern/5095677/ 5095677 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/02/web-240201-caitlin-clark.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,169 Caitlin Clark cruised right by Jackie Stiles and Kelsey Mitchell. Next up is Kelsey Plum.

That’s the only name above Clark on the NCAA women’s basketball scoring list.

Clark collected 35 points, 10 assists and six rebounds in front of a sellout crowd at Welsh-Ryan Arena, leading No. 3 Iowa to a 110-74 victory over Northwestern on Wednesday night.

Three weeks after passing Brittney Griner, Clark took down two more big names in women’s hoops. She passed Stiles for third on the NCAA list when she made a 3-pointer with 2:04 left in the first quarter. She moved ahead of Ohio State’s Mitchell when she converted a layup with 4:58 left in the first half, making her the career scoring leader for the Big Ten.

Clark finished the night with 3,424 points, departing to a big ovation with 4:23 remaining. Plum, who starred at Washington from 2013-17, tops the women’s Division I scoring list with 3,527 points.

“I think the coolest thing is just the names that I get to be around,” Clark said. “Those are people that I grew up watching, especially Kelsey Plum, Brittney Griner, Kelsey Mitchell. Those are really, really great players.”

Cheered on by a crowd of 7,039 filled with Iowa colors and dotted with Clark shirts, the senior guard went 11 for 22 from the field and 10 for 10 at the free-throw line. It was her 13th game this season with at least 30 points.

But it was her passing that really stood out. She made a nice pass ahead to Hannah Stuelke for a fast-break layup in the second quarter, and she found Sydney Affolter for a backdoor layup in the third.

“This was one that was definitely circled on my calendar, just because I know the amount of Iowa fans in the Chicago area,” Clark said. “So I was super excited to come here. I love this gym.”

Stuelke had 17 points and nine rebounds for Iowa (20-2, 9-1 Big Ten), which earned its second straight win since a 100-92 overtime loss at Ohio State on Jan. 21. Kate Martin added 16 points, and Gabbie Marshall finished with 12 on 4-for-5 shooting from 3.

Northwestern (7-14, 2-8) lost its fifth straight game. Melannie Daley scored 19 points for the Wildcats, and Hailey Weaver finished with 13.

“I thought it was going to be a much better game than what it was,” said Paige Mott, who finished with 10 points. “We didn’t show up to play for 40 minutes.”

Caitlin Clark accidentally knocked down by Ohio State fan running on court to celebrate win https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/caitlin-clark-accidentally-knocked-down-by-ohio-state-fan-running-on-court-to-celebrate-win/5060889/ 5060889 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/01/240121-caitlin-clark-getty.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,169 Caitlin Clark said she was “OK” after she was accidentally knocked down by a fan running onto the court after No. 2 Iowa was upset by No. 18 Ohio State on Sunday.

The Hawkeyes star was running off the court with her head down when a female fan, trying to film the on-court celebration, banged into Clark. She fell to the floor under one the baskets as personnel and teammates rushed to her aid.

“I was just trying to exit the court as quickly as possible, so I started running and I was absolutely just hammered by somebody trying to run onto the court,” Clark said after the 100-92 overtime loss. “Basically blindsided and, you know, kind of scary, could have caused a pretty serious injury to me and knocked the wind out of me. But luckily my teammates kind of picked me up and got me off the court. Their AD already came and apologized to me, so I really appreciate that.”

Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith went to the Hawkeyes locker room and apologized to Clark and Iowa coach Lisa Bluder. Buckeyes coach Kevin McGuff also issued an apology.

Clark didn’t mention it, but Bluder said her star player, who scored 45 points in the game, also was harassed while leaving the court.

“You know, it’s unfortunate the game ended that way and Caitlin gets taken out on the floor,” a visibly angry Bluder said. “Gets some inappropriate words yelled at her by fans, by students. That just should not happen, it should not happen. Our players should be safe, they should be able to walk off the floor. That’s very disappointing.”

More than 18,000 people attended, which was the most ever to watch a women’s basketball game at Ohio State. After the No. 18 Buckeyes won finished the 100-92 overtime win, fans streamed past security and onto the floor.

“(Clark) had such a spectacular performance today, and she’s such a great player and that should never happen,’ McGuff said. “And so I feel really badly about it and hopefully it doesn’t affect her moving forward. But that is extremely unfortunate.”

Here's how much it costs to watch Caitlin Clark in the women's basketball regular season https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/heres-how-much-it-costs-to-watch-caitlin-clark-in-the-womens-basketball-regular-season/5026335/ 5026335 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/01/GettyImages-1916003444.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,199 Caitlin Clark is driving up ticket sales everywhere she goes.

The Iowa women’s basketball player — who is just hundreds of points away from securing the NCAA women’s basketball scoring record — is selling out arenas every time the No. 3 ranked team competes on the road.

With seven away games left in the season for the Hawkeyes, all are already sold out on the teams’ official sites — and to be clear, the tickets have been far from cheap. At this time, however, there are tickets still available on partner and third-party sites.

In August, Iowa announced that tickets for the whole season had sold out for the first time in program history.

Nonetheless, Clark along with other stars such as LSU’s Angel Reese have been doing their part in garnering attention to the sport of women’s basketball — bringing much popularity to a sport that wasn’t always highly sought after.

With approximately two months left of the women’s basketball season, here is how much it costs to catch Clark in action on the road:

Tickets to Caitlin Clark basketball games

Note: All prices are as of Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. ET.

Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Purdue (Mackey Arena)

Tickets for this game are sold out on Purdue’s website as of Jan. 10. However on SeatGeek, Purdue’s official ticket partner, tickets can be purchased for as low as $3. Courtside tickets, which are the most expensive, are going for $344.

Tickets are sold out. On Ticketmaster (not a partner of Ohio State), resale general admission tickets cost as low as $20. The most expensive seat in the house is going for $1,094 (Section 106, Row G) behind Iowa’s bench.

Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Northwestern (Welsh Ryan Arena)

Tickets are sold out. There are limited tickets left for this game on SeatGeek with the cheapest spot being general admission ($174) but the “seat location is not mapped” on the site. The best seats left for this game are in Section 108, Row 1 (behind the scorers) for $1,788.

Saturday, Feb. 3, at Maryland (XFINITY Center)

Tickets are sold out. Tickets can be purchased on SeatGeek, Maryland’s official ticket marketplace, from $115 to $1,145.

Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Minnesota (Williams Arena)

WATCH: Iowa's Caitlin Clark drills logo buzzer-beater to take down Michigan State https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/sports/ncaab/watch-iowas-caitlin-clark-drills-logo-buzzer-beater-to-take-down-michigan-state/5001870/ 5001870 post https://media.nbcnewyork.com/2024/01/web-240103-caitlin-clark-buzzer-beater.jpg?quality=85&strip=all&fit=300,169 When Caitlin Clark took a 3-pointer from the Iowa logo at the buzzer Tuesday night against Michigan State, she — and most people in the arena — knew it was a wrap.

“Honestly, when it left my hand, I knew it was going in,” Clark said.

No. 4 Iowa and Michigan State were tied in the final seconds when Clark stepped back onto the beak of the Hawkeye at center court and launched a 3 for the win. It promptly ripped through the net, giving her team a 76-73 win over its Big Ten rival.

Check out the cold-blooded shot for yourself:

The buzzer-beater was Clark’s eighth 3-point make of the night and gave her 40 points for the game. After a night like that, it was no surprise where the ball ended up on the final play.

“Caitlin has ice in her veins,” Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder said. “Everybody knows it.”

A year after leading Iowa to the national title game, Clark is chasing NCAA women’s basketball history in her senior season. She ranks fourth all-time in points (3,189) and is well within striking distance of Kelsey Plum’s all-time scoring record (3,527).
